Xedine HA for children treats symptomatic nasal congestion caused by rhinitis or sinusitis. Indications

Xedine HA 0.5 mg/ml is indicated for use in children aged 2 to 12 years. The active substance is xylometazoline hydrochloride, which helps constrict blood vessels in the nose, thereby reducing swelling of the nasal mucosa. The drug also contains hyaluronic acid, which protects and moisturizes the nasal mucosa.

Xedine HA is a colorless, sterile, preservative-free solution. The plastic bottle contains a dosing pump with a nasal applicator and a protective cap.



Dosage:


Children aged 2 to 12 years


: 1 spray into each nostril up to 3 times daily. Do not use this medicine for longer than 5 days unless otherwise directed by a doctor.
Wait a few days before using it again.

For chronic colds, this medicine should only be used under medical supervision to prevent atrophy (thinning) of the nasal mucosa.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

If there is no improvement after 3 days or the patient feels worse, contact a doctor.



Administration



- The spray should be administered to a child in an upright position.

- Therefore, it is best for small children to sit on an adult's lap while administering the medicine.

- Before using the medicine, the child should clear their nose. Remove the protective cap.

- Hold the bottle between your index and middle finger while resting the bottom of the bottle on your thumb, as shown in the picture.

- To release the dose, press the pump towards the bottom of the bottle. Before first use, it is necessary to spray the spray several times (five times) into the air to obtain a uniform dose. If the medicine has not been used for several days, spray at least one spray into the air to obtain a uniform dose.

- Insert the top of the metering pump into the nostril as shown (do not use the spray under the nostril). While pressing the pump once, instruct the child to breathe in through the nose. At the same time, gently close the other nostril with the index finger of the other hand.

- Release the pump and remove it from the nostril. Repeat this process for the other nostril.

- After use, thoroughly clean the metering pump with a dry, clean tissue and put the protective cap back on.




Composition:


5 ml of the medicine contains - active substance: 0.5 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride,

other ingredients (excipients) are: purified sea water, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium hyaluronate, purified water.


One dose (70µl) contains 0.035 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride.
