Vitamin B6 (also called pyridoxine) belongs to the group of water-soluble vitamins. The body cannot produce water-soluble vitamin B6 itself, which is why it must be obtained through food. Vitamin B6 is found in both plant and animal foods. However, due to its sensitivity to light and heat, various preparation processes or improper storage of our food can lead to a loss of this vitamin. Vitamin B6 plays a very important role in metabolism, especially of protein, as a component of many enzyme systems. Furthermore, vitamin B6 has a relevant function in the immune system, as it regulates the immune response. Vitamin B6 intake is often insufficient in the 20-35 age group and in people with alcohol use disorder. Increased requirements can also occur during pregnancy and with the chronic use of certain medications.
Adults: Take 1 capsule daily with liquid.
1 capsule contains 2 mg of vitamin B6 (142% NRV*).
