Rutinoscorbin contains two active substances, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and rutoside. The drug is indicated for use in states of vitamin C deficiency and in the period of increased demand for this ingredient.

Composition of Rutinoscorbin, vitamin C (ascorbic acid):

Active substances: rutoside (Rutosidum trihydricum) and ascorbic acid (Acidum ascorbicum). One tablet contains 25 mg of rutoside and 100 mg of ascorbic acid as well as excipients: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, sucrose, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, magnesium stearate. The tablet coating consists of: Opadry II 85F32876 Yellow (polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 4000, titanium dioxide (E171), talc, quinoline yellow (E104)).

Rutinoscorbin, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) action:

The drug combines two active substances - rutoside and ascorbic acid, i.e. vitamin C. Rutinoscorbin is indicated for the treatment of vitamin C deficiency and in periods when the body's need for this ingredient is increased. In addition, it can be used as an aid in the case of excessive vascular permeability. Vitamin C has an antioxidant effect, participates in the production of collagen and hemoglobin. It also increases the absorption of iron. Rutoside strengthens blood vessels and reduces their permeability. In addition, it protects vitamin C against oxidation.

Application:
The medicinal product Rutinoscorbin indicated for use in states of vitamin C deficiency, as well as its increased demand (e.g. colds, viral infections, e.g. influenza), also as an aid in the case of excessive vascular permeability.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. A doctor should be consulted before using the drug if there is a rare metabolic disease (erythrocyte glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency), renal dysfunction, sulfonamides (antibacterial drugs) are used. High doses of vitamin C should not be used in the following cases: excessive excretion of oxalic acid, gout, gout, cystinuria, hypokalaemia, hypercalcemia. Vitamin C may influence the results of laboratory tests: for the presence of sugar, for the presence of occult blood in the stool. Use in children: under 6 years of age, use as directed by your doctor. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: the possibility of using the drug in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be discussed with your doctor. The drug contains lactose monohydrate and sucrose - consult your doctor before taking the drug if you have been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars. The drug contains quinoline yellow - this component can cause allergic reactions.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in the case of oxalate stones (present or past). Do not use in diseases associated with excessive iron accumulation (thalassemia, haemochromatosis, sideroblastic anemia) or other diseases that may cause excess iron in the body.

Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. When vitamin C is used in a dose greater than 600 mg a day, the following side effects may occur: very rarely - allergic reactions, including hypersensitivity reactions (shortness of breath, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, skin rash, itching), headache , dizziness, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, stomach pain, tiredness. Not known: skin redness, increased urination, kidney stones. In the case of using very high doses of vitamin C (over 10g per day), water and electrolyte disturbances may occur, the breakdown of red blood cells, and a significant reduction in the effect of cobalamin (vitamin B12). Discontinue use of the drug and consult a doctor if the following symptoms occur: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea,

Dosage of Rutinoscorbin, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) tablets:

Use as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. Use orally. Prophylactic use: recommended dose - 1-2 tablets a day. Use in states of vitamin C deficiency: recommended dose - use 1-2 tablets 2-4 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended daily doses. Children under 6 years of age: use as directed by your doctor. People with kidney disease: do not use more than 5 tablets a day.
