Q10 (also called coenzyme Q10) is a substance produced by the body and found in all cells (in the mitochondria). This fat-soluble compound is also called ubiquinone, which roughly translates to "present everywhere." The body obtains Q10 both through its own production and through dietary intake. Under certain circumstances, the body's own synthesis of Q10 may not be sufficient to meet its needs, and dietary intake becomes more important. Therefore, Q10 is considered a (semi-)essential nutrient. After oral ingestion, Q10 is largely converted into ubiquinol. This conversion process is unnecessary when using a dietary supplement containing pre-formed ubiquinol.

Recommended intake:
Take 1 softgel capsule daily with water at a fatty meal. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily intake.
