Niacin is a vitamin from the B complex. Common names are also nicotinic acid, nicotinamide and vitamin B3. In the true sense, however, it is not a vitamin, since niacin can be produced by mammals and the human body from the amino acid L-tryptophan. Natural sources of niacin include poultry, game, fish, mushrooms, dairy, and eggs. Liver, coffee, whole grain products, various vegetables and fruit also contain nicotinic acid, although animal products are generally better for the organism.
Niacin 100 mg GPH capsules contain 100 mg nicotinamide in a hard gelatine capsule.
