• Relieved in approx. 5-20 minutes
• Local mode of action, few side effects
• Very well tolerated
Constipation can be very uncomfortable and can be accompanied by malaise, bloating, gas, and even pain. MICROLAX ® relieves constipation in the rectum with hard stool in only approx. 5-20 minutes and thus enables quick and predictable relief - whether at home or when traveling. MICROLAX ® is introduced into the rectum and acts locally, directly on the hardened stool. As a rule, a mini-list is sufficient to soften the stool and thus completely empty the rectum without the risk of further uncontrolled bowel movements. In contrast to oral agents, MICROLAX ® does not have to pass through the entire gastrointestinal tract and can therefore act more quickly. Because of its local mode of action, MICROLAX ®very well tolerated and can also be used on newborns, toddlers, pregnant women and during breastfeeding. Constipation is a widespread condition - around 13% of the population suffer from it from time to time - it affects all age groups from babies to old age. In babies, for example, switching from breast milk to bottle milk or switching to porridge and complementary foods can lead to constipation. In small children, digestion is often out of step when the day goes differently than usual, for example when traveling and especially when switching to the "potty". Constipation is not uncommon during pregnancy and is often caused by the production of pregnancy hormones, the increasing Waist circumference and the commonly prescribed iron supplements. Constipation is more common with age because the metabolism changes and digestion becomes slower. In addition, hormonal fluctuations, for example during menopause, can lead to constipation. In order to prevent constipation in general, one should pay attention to a healthy lifestyle with a diet high in fiber, enough fluids, sufficient exercise and as little stress as possible.
