MALASEB

Shampoo for dogs and cats

Dog : For the treatment and control of seborrhoeic dermatitis caused by Malassezia pachydermatis and Staphylococcus intermedius.
Cat : For the adjunctive treatment of dermatophytia caused by Microsporum canis in combination with griseofulvin.

Active ingredients:
1 ml contains: Chlorhexidine bis(D-gluconate) 20 mg (equivalent to chlorhexidine 11.26 mg) and miconazole nitrate 20 mg (equivalent to miconazole 17.37 mg)

Contraindications :
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the other ingredients.

Special warnings for each target species:
Dogs:
In general, shampoo twice weekly until symptoms resolve, then once weekly or as needed to maintain control.

Cats: Shampoo twice weekly at least until culture samples obtained by brushing the coat are negative for M. canis . Treatment should not exceed 16 weeks. Depending on the length and type of coat, consideration should be given to trimming the cat's coat prior to treatment. Thoroughly wet the coat with clean water, then apply Malaseb Shampoo to various areas and massage thoroughly into the coat. Use enough shampoo to create a lather on the coat and skin, ensuring that the shampoo penetrates around the muzzle, under the tail and between the toes. Leave the shampoo in for 10 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Then allow the animal's coat to dry in a warm, draft-free environment. The 250 ml bottle is sufficient for 8-16 treatments for a 15 kg dog or 5-10 treatments for a 25 kg dog or 25 treatments for a cat, depending on the density of the fur. 

Storage: Do not store above 30°C. Do not store in the refrigerator or freeze .
