• The preparation contains two active ingredients called lidocaine and prilocaine. These belong to a group of medicines called local anesthetics.
• It works by temporarily numbing the skin's surface. It is applied to the skin before certain medical procedures. This helps to eliminate pain on the skin. However, you may still be able to feel pressure or touch.
  • Adults, teenagers and children
    • It can be used to numb the skin before:
      • a needle puncture (e.g. when you receive an injection or for blood sampling).
      • minor surgical procedures on the skin.
  • Adults and young people
    • It can also be used:
      • to numb the genitals:
        • an injection.
        • medical procedures such as wart removal.
    • A doctor or medical professional should apply the preparation to the genitals.
  • Adult
    • It can also be used to numb the skin before:
      • Cleaning or removal of damaged skin in cases of leg ulcers.
• For all uses other than application to intact skin, the drug should only be used on the recommendation of a doctor, medical professional or pharmacist.
