  • Ketoangin 1mg/ml oral spray is a medicinal product indicated for adults in the symptomatic treatment of inflammation and irritation of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa with accompanying pain. The active substance is ketoprofen.

Composition of Ketoangin 1mg/ml oral spray:

Active substance: ketoprofen (Ketoprofenum) in the form of ketoprofen with lysine. 1ml of spray contains 1mg of ketoprofen, which corresponds to 1.6mg of ketoprofen with lysine and auxiliary substances: glycerol 85%, xylitol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, monobasic sodium phosphate monohydrate, poloxamer, mint flavour 987201/T13 (ethanol, peppermint oil, field mint oil, menthol), purified water.

Action Ketoangin 1mg/ml oral spray:

The Ketoangin 1mg/ml oral spray contains ketoprofen as an active substance – in the form of ketoprofen with lysine. Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation. This drug can be used in the symptomatic treatment of inflammation and irritation of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa with accompanying pain, including those resulting from dental procedures.

Application:

Ketoangin 1mg/ml oral spray is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of inflammation and irritation of the oral and throat mucosa with accompanying pain (e.g. gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), also resulting from dental procedures (conservative or involving extraction).

Additional information:

Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect from moisture and light. After first opening, use within 21 weeks. Unused medicine should be discarded. Use of this medicine, especially long-term, may lead to sensitization (increased response to subsequent administration of the same dose of the medicine) or local irritation. In such cases, stop using the medicine and consult a doctor who will prescribe appropriate treatment. Inform your pharmacist or doctor if you have an infection. Do not use this medicine long-term. Infections: this medicine may hide the symptoms of infection (fever and pain), so it may delay the application of appropriate treatment for the infection, and as a result lead to an increased risk of complications. This has been observed in the course of bacterial pneumonia and bacterial skin infections associated with chickenpox. If the patient is taking this medicine during an existing infection and the symptoms of the infection persist or worsen, consult a doctor immediately. Use in children and adolescents: the medicine should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Use with other medicines: this should be discussed with a doctor. Use during pregnancy and lactation: a woman who thinks she may be pregnant, is pregnant or breastfeeding must consult a doctor, but the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated. Driving and operating machinery: there is no data on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive and operate machinery. The drug contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate - may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed reactions). The drug contains sodium - less than 1 mmol (23 mg) of sodium per spray dose, i.e. the drug is considered "sodium-free".

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug, allergy to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Do not use in case of a respiratory disease called bronchial asthma. Do not use in case of a previous allergic reaction after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, causing asthma attacks, difficulty breathing due to temporary narrowing of the bronchi (bronchospasm) or the presence of lumps in the nose (polyps in the nasal cavity), cold (acute rhinitis), allergic skin reactions such as: hives or swelling of the face around the eyes and lips, tongue (angioedema). Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Side effects:

Some people may experience side effects when taking this medicine. Very rare: throat irritation; allergic symptoms such as swelling of the face, especially around the mouth and eyes, tongue or throat (angioedema) - these mainly occur in people who are allergic to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Dosage of Ketoangin 1mg/ml oral spray:

Use the medicine as directed by your doctor or as indicated on the leaflet. Medicine for use in adults. Lift the bottle, put the applicator in your mouth and direct the spray stream directly at the affected area. Press the dispenser to release a dose of the medicine. Recommended dose: 1-2 doses of the medicine up to 3 times a day. A single spray dose contains approximately 0.2 ml of solution, which corresponds to 0.32 mg of ketoprofen with lysine (0.2 mg of ketoprofen). Do not exceed the recommended dose. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest period necessary to relieve symptoms. If symptoms (such as pain) persist or worsen during the course of the infection, consult a doctor immediately. If there is no improvement or the patient feels worse within 7 days, consult a doctor.
