INDIAN Frankincense, Cream, boswellia serrata supplement Characteristics:

Where the climate is hot and dry, the soil rocky and mineral-rich, where rain falls sparsely and vegetation is moistened by practically only fog and dew, the frankincense tree, a small tree about 4 to 6 meters tall, thrives. It is of stunted growth, with a short trunk and gnarled branches; the leaves are small to minimize evaporation of the vital water. As inconspicuous as the frankincense tree appears in its above-ground parts, its root system is just as impressive below ground, where the roots reach down to a depth of 30 meters in order to reach the life-giving water even in the dry season.

However, what is valuable about the frankincense tree is hidden inside and only comes to light when the bark is damaged, the white milky sap that solidifies in the sun to form the coveted resin that is known in Europe as "Olibanum".

The frankincense harvest is still carried out today using the same method as thousands of years ago. The harvest time lasts from the end of October to the end of April. To do this, the tree bark is scratched with a special scraping knife, whereby the milky sap runs out of the resin passages, which solidifies in the sun to form small greenish-white to golden-yellow resin tears.

Indian frankincense cream ZILLY contains a high-quality extract from the resin of Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata) in a skin-friendly ointment base. It is ideal for the care of nervous and irritated skin.
