acetylsalicylic acid should only be used in children and adolescents with febrile illnesses, because of the possible occurrence of a liver-brain disease (Reye's syndrome), only on medical advice and only then used when other measures do not work. Acetylsalicylic acid should not be used for long periods or in higher doses without consulting your doctor.
