Funtrol 50 mg/ml medicated nail polish 2.5 ml

Funtrol 50 mg/ml nail polish contains the active substance amorolfine (as hydrochloride), which belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungals.

Indications

Funtrol is used to treat fungal infections of nails.

Dosage

This medicine should always be used exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Funtrol nail polish should be applied to the infected area of your fingernails or toenails once or twice a week, exactly as your doctor has told you to. Before reapplying nail polish, first remove the old nail polish with a cotton pad and then file the nails if necessary.
Reapply the varnish as described earlier.
Once dry, the applied varnish is resistant to soap and water, so you can wash your hands and feet as usual. If you need to use chemicals such as paint thinners or white spirit, rubber or other impermeable (waterproof) gloves should be worn to protect the varnish on your nails.
It is important to continue using Funtrol until the infection has cleared up and healthy nails have grown back. This usually takes 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails. Your doctor will probably check your treatment every 3 months or so.
