  • The DIAGOPSA test for detecting the prostate cancer marker investigates the concentration of PSA-antigen in the blood. It may indicate the occurrence of prostate diseases (eg cancer).

Action:
The product has the form of a test designed to detect elevated levels of specific prostate antigen (PSA), which may be associated with prostate enlargement or, in some cases, the occurrence of prostate cancer. Testing in healthy men makes it possible to identify the disease before its characteristic symptoms appear. It is advisable to test PSA levels in every man over 50 years of age. It is recommended to perform the test from the age of 40 above all if there were any cases of prostate cancer in the immediate family of the patient. Examination of PSA concentration using the DiagoPSA test is the initial stage of prophylaxis and diagnostics of prostate diseases.

Indications:
The test should be performed in men over 50 years of age (in special cases over 40 years of age) in order to test the level of PSA-antigen in the blood and the initial diagnosis of prostate diseases.

Directions for use:
Apply topically. A blood sample should be taken from the fingertip painlessly, gently pricking it with a special device attached to the test kit. Then use a pipette to transfer it to the test plate. Add buffer and wait for the result for 10 minutes. Normal blood PSA concentration is 0.0 to 4.0 ng / ml. An elevated level (greater than 4 ng / ml) may signal probable prostate disease and should be a recommendation for further diagnosis.
