Preparation methods for dandelion root

Tea preparation: Dandelion roots harvested from carefully cultivated areas retain a high concentration of bitter compounds even after drying. To prepare an infusion or tea, place one teaspoon of dried dandelion root into a tea strainer and pour boiling water over it. To enjoy the tea, steep it for no more than 5 to 10 minutes. A combination of dandelion roots and leaves is also particularly effective. This can also be used to prepare a tasty and soothing tea infusion. A little honey can neutralize the bitterness, but avoid overpowering the quickly becoming too intense flavor.

Dandelion root as a base for dandelion honey and lemonade: You can use dandelion roots to make tart lemonades or a very aromatic honey, or, in finely ground form, as a seasoning for salads and dips. In desserts, the root adds a slightly bitter pungency. It's best to use the seasoning sparingly so that the bitterness doesn't overpower the other flavors and your dishes don't taste bitter.

In lemonades, dandelion root fulfills the same function as ginger, so that especially bitter lemon or tonic-like drinks are popular in the warm season and prove to be a good and easily digestible thirst quencher.

Whether hot or cold, dandelion root is versatile in its beverage form and can be used in varying amounts and tones to suit individual needs. Our dandelion root is free of artificial substances and comes from certified organic farms. Careful drying ensures it retains all its natural vitamins and flavonoids, which contribute to its status as a versatile herb and make it an exceptional seasoning.
