Cera/Aesculus comp., Unguentum, Ointment
Composition:
10 g contain: Aesculus hippocastanum e semine ferm 34c Ø 0.33 g (HAB, Vs. 34c), Brassica nigra e semine W 10% 2.00 g (HAB, Vs. 12f with refined peanut oil), Bryonia cretica ferm 33b Ø 0.01 g, Cera flava 1.17 g, D-Camphor 0.10 g, Equisetum arvense ex herba ferm 35b Ø 0.10 g (HAB, Vs. 35b), Formica rufa ex animale toto Gl Ø 0.01 g (HAB, Vs. 41c), Mel 0.20 g. Other ingredients: Refined peanut oil, glycerol, cocoa butter, purified water, lanolin. Contains peanut oil and lanolin.
Indications:
According to anthroposophical understanding of man and nature. These include: Stimulating and structuring metabolic processes in cases of increased deposit and hardening tendencies, particularly in degenerative spinal disorders, degenerative diseases of the joints, capsules, and ligaments, and painful muscle tension.
Contraindications:
Cera/Aesculus comp., Unguentum must not be used:
o in infants and small children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngeal spasms).
o if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to camphor, peanut, or soy, or to any of the other ingredients.
Precautions for use and warnings:
There is no adequately documented experience with the use of this medicine in children. It should therefore only be used in children aged 2 to under 12 years of age after consulting a doctor. Lanolin can cause localized skin irritation (e.g., contact dermatitis).
Dosage and method of application:
Unless otherwise prescribed, rub the affected area with a strip of ointment approximately 0.5 to 3 cm long, depending on the size, 1 to 2 times daily.
Duration of application:
Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks. If no improvement occurs within 3 days, consult a doctor. The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses requires consultation with a doctor. If a child accidentally swallows Cera/Aesculus comp., Unguentum, you should consult a doctor immediately who can administer the necessary treatment. Do not attempt to induce vomiting!
Side effects:
Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions. In sensitized patients, Cera/Aesculus comp., Unguentum can trigger hypersensitivity reactions (including shortness of breath). Cera/Aesculus comp., Unguentum can cause laryngeal spasms in infants and small children up to 2 years of age, resulting in severe breathing difficulties.
