How does the active ingredient in this medication work?

Calcium ions play a crucial role in activating biological systems. A deficiency of calcium in the blood increases, while an excess decreases, neuromuscular excitability. Oral calcium supplementation promotes the remineralization of the skeleton in cases of calcium deficiency. Additionally, the active ingredient binds and neutralizes stomach acid. The calcium forms poorly soluble salts with stomach acid, which are excreted in the stool. In this way, the substance relieves heartburn, acid reflux, and other acid-related stomach problems. Furthermore, it reduces the risk of developing ulcers in the gastrointestinal tract as a result of hyperacidity.
