What does it contain?

The active ingredient in Olfen Gel pain relief gel is diclofenac sodium salt. It belongs to the same group as ibuprofen, i.e., nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It inhibits inflammation by regulating the production of pro-inflammatory factors. These enzymes include prostaglandins and cyclooxygenase, two isoforms of which are susceptible to diclofenac. Reducing the concentration of these substances through the action of Olfen Gel 1% hydrogel helps reduce inflammation, reduces swelling in damaged tissues, and relieves pain caused by injury.

Indications:

Adults and children over 14 years of age:

Adults:
Limited and mild forms of osteoarthritis.

Composition:

1 g of gel contains the active substance: diclofenac sodium 10 mg, excipients: isopropyl adipate, lactic acid, isopropanol, sodium hydrogen sulfate, hydroxypropylcellulose, purified water.

Dosage

: For topical use only.
Apply an amount of gel the size of a cherry or walnut (depending on the size of the affected area) to clean, dry skin and massage in gently until the area warms up. Repeat application regularly 3-4 times daily.
For muscle and joint injuries, use for no longer than 2 weeks, and for osteoarthritis, for a maximum of 3 weeks.
If pain and swelling do not subside or worsen after a week, consult a doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients.
Allergic reactions to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.
Age under 14 years.
Third trimester of pregnancy.
Use on mucous membranes, open or oozing wounds, and around the eyes.
Apply to large skin areas.
