Use/Application/Recommended Use:
When preparing Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener, carefully follow the instructions for use. Improper preparation can lead to health problems due to the growth of unwanted bacteria. Prepare the formula fresh for each feeding and feed immediately. Do not reuse leftover formula. Thoroughly clean the bottle, teat, and ring. Do not heat the formula in a microwave (risk of overheating).

Bottle feeding with breast milk:
Pump breast milk and use it immediately while it is still lukewarm. Add the thickener according to the dosage table. Shake the bottle for 30-60 seconds and then let it stand for 7 minutes to thicken. After shaking again, feed immediately.

Bottle feeding with infant formula, HA formula, or special formula:
Prepare your usual infant formula according to the manufacturer's instructions. Add the thickening agent according to the dosage table. Shake the bottle for 30-60 seconds and then let it stand for 7 minutes to thicken. Shake the bottle vigorously again. Then check the bottle contents are at drinking temperature (approx. 37°C) and feed immediately.

Spoon-feeding:
This method can be used for breastfed babies or babies who are already receiving complementary foods. Add the thickening agent to the liquid according to the dosage table. Stir and let the paste stand for 3 minutes to thicken. Stir again and then feed with a spoon before or during the meal.

Dosage:
Use only the enclosed measuring spoon. One level spoonful contains 1.7 g.

* Can also be prepared with boiled water.
