L‑Carn Trinklösung delivers 1 g of levocarnitine per 10 ml of clear aqueous solution. It is intended for substitution therapy in primary or secondary systemic carnitine deficiency. The formulation contains 48 mg of sodium benzoate as a preservative. Recommended intake is one ampoule three times daily, taken undiluted or with water or tea. The solution supports fatty‑acid metabolism and may improve muscle strength in patients with carnitine‑related disorders. Store the bottle protected from heat and keep out of reach of children.

L-Carn oral solution. Active ingredient: 1 g levocarnitine/10 ml solution. Indications: Used for the treatment of carnitine deficiency disorders (levocarnitine replacement therapy):

 To compensate for levocarnitine losses due to defects of the so-called carnitine transporter in the cell membrane (replacement in primary systemic carnitine deficiency).

 To compensate for levocarnitine losses that can be caused by various diseases and as side effects of certain treatments (replacement in secondary systemic carnitine deficiency). To compensate for treatment-related levocarnitine losses that can occur as a result of long-term hemodialysis in patients with kidney failure (replacement of dialysis-related levocarnitine losses in chronic hemodialysis, i.e., as a consequence of secondary levocarnitine deficiency).

As a treatment option for specific forms of muscular dystrophy with accompanying fatty degeneration of the muscles, caused by a levocarnitine deficiency (muscular dystrophy with lipid accumulation based on a primary muscular levocarnitine deficiency).
Contains 48 mg sodium benzoate.
