ACETIZAL CARDIO 100mg. 30 tablets, ACETYSAL CARDIO
ACETIZAL CARDIO 100mg. 30 tablets, ACETYSAL CARDIO
ACETYSAL CARDIO Purpose:
Acetizal Cardio contains acetylsalicylic acid, which in low doses belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelet agents. Platelets are small blood cells that cause blood to clot and are involved in thrombosis. When a blood clot (thrombus) forms in an artery, it interferes with blood flow and interrupts the oxygen supply. When this happens in the heart, it can cause a heart attack or angina pectoris; in the brain, this blood clot can cause a stroke.
Acetizal Cardio is taken to reduce the risk of blood clots and thus prevent:
- heart attacks
- strokes
- cardiovascular problems in patients who suffer from stable or unstable angina (a type of chest pain)
Acetizal Cardio is also used to prevent blood clots (thrombi) from forming after certain types of heart surgery in order to dilate or unblock blood vessels.
